If the post-NXNE blues are starting to set in, let Lithium take you back to let you relive some of our favourite performances throughout the festival with our photo coverage.
With 650 bands scheduled to play over the course of five mere days, it was impossible to catch everything, but we set out to catch some sweet Canadian acts.
Toronto-based pop rock band Sweet Thing hit Rivoli’s stage on Thursday, June 16th for an energetic and theatrical performance of songs from their debut, self-titled album – even with lead vocalist Owen Carrier rocking out on a freshly broken toe.
East Coast boys Paper Lions were at Sneaky Dee’s on Friday, June 17th to present their blend of indie rock, in lead up to Toronto’s Great Bloomers.
Sneaky Dee’s also presented Toronto’s Brett Caswell & The Marquee Rose on Saturday, June 18th, who collectively showcased their love for playing music live, with Caswell alternating between instruments throughout their set.
Whale Tooth, another act based out of TO, followed up by tearing up the stage at Sneaks. Vocalist Elise LeGrow got the crowd worked up with her charismatic and lively delivery throughout.
All in all, 2011’s NXNE festival showcased a number of exceptional artists and we can’t wait to see what 2012’s line up has to offer.
